Collaborative Working / Partnerships
The Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry (ABPI) and Department of Health (DH) collaborated on the development of a toolkit entitled, "Moving beyond sponsorship: Interactive toolkit for joint working between the NHS and the pharmaceutical industry." The toolkit is designed to:
- encourage NHS organisations and staff to consider joint working as a realistic option for the delivery of high-quality healthcare; and
- provide the necessary information and have easy access to the tools which will help to enter into joint working.

Collaboration between the NHS and Pharmaceutical Industry
Through new independent research, informing choices has created a fascinating report into the Pharmaceutical Industry and NHS Collaborative Working Landscape.
The intentions of the report are to provide insight to a number of different perspectives on collaboration between the industry and NHS, to provide a resource for other professionals interested in understanding and improving their experience of collaborative working and to inform our own practice. Futures Thinking
The Foresight Programme and Horizon Scanning Centre are based in the Government Office for Science, part of the new Department for Business Innovation and Skills.
The centre's aim is to provide visions of the future using robust science to be used by policymakers to inform government policy and strategy, and to improve how science and technology are used within Government and by society.
Foresight brings together key people, knowledge and ideas to look beyond normal planning horizons to identify potential opportunities from new science and technologies and actions to help realise those opportunities. Steve is a member of the Future Analyst's Network who meet a number of times a year to contribute to the centre's future's work and to learn and share experiences about futures thinking. The STRATEGY EXCHANGE is a comprehensive online resource for those involved and interested in strategy in the public sector. It is supported by the National School of Government in partnership with Strategy Unit in The Cabinet Office, and the Foresight Horizon Scanning Centre.
